Chiropractors, massage therapists, other yoga teachers… all can be super helpful and necessary at times, but why not empower yourself with the basic anatomy, biomechanics, and even energetic pathways of your body, so that you can move yourself in the direction of healing?
In this powerful, information-filled weekend you will receive principles to practice, teach, and even live by. These principles help maintain strength in your core and your joints, freedom in your physical and energetic body, and a feeling of being supported throughout the cycles and phases of a woman’s life.
We will address basic yoga poses and how to use them to help your students who get pain in them, particularly chatturanga, downward dog, and backbends. As a teacher, you will be able to give simple instructions to your students – pregnant or not – to help them feel better in a pose and use it as an opportunity to create both strength and ease. Through these principles, you will understand how to help you and your students maintain stability by moving toward the natural structure of our skeleton and muscles.
Bring your aches and pains! They are often our greatest gurus, so we can learn to help others heal from them. These principles are particularly useful for common pregnancy discomforts, but help reduce pain for all bodies, all the time.
If you haven’t gotten this yet, this workshop is not rainbows and woo woo! It’s what we believe is essential information for any yoga teacher interested in helping their students find “their pose” in any pose.

As a professional dancer, I was first drawn to Yoga as a reliable method for physical therapy that I could practice on my own. Eventually, Yoga became so much more - I was hooked to its alignment principles, philosophy, mindfulness, and meditation. I also found a community of people on a similar path to personal growth. I made teaching Yoga my path in life, after experiencing the healing power of this practice, during a particularly traumatic event. I have never looked back. It is the greatest gift to share this practice with students and new teachers.
I spent 8 years diving deeply into the teachings of Anusara yoga. I did my first 200-hour teacher training with Tony Guiliano, Kenny Graham, Tara Judelle, and Mark Holzman. I have completed teacher training intensives with Christina Sell and Noah Maze. My prenatal training is with Jessica Jennings and Ma Yoga (85 hours). I completed my 500-hour advanced teacher training with Noah Maze (Yogamaze). I am skilled in pose mechanics, therapeutics, meditation, labor skills, and have trained as a birth doula with Ana Paula Markel.
